ACTION PLAN

Changes all around our neighborhood are happening at a fast and furious pace. Ensuring that we have an up to date neighborhood action plan for the city to refer to will help to ensure that the changes proposed fit “our” vision for “our” future. Our most recent plan was adopted by the city in 1999. Early in 2007 a sub-committee was created by the board of the association with the task of gathering residents input and determining updates needed to ensure our neighborhood plan is current.

A series of neighborhood meetings are being scheduled to gather resident’s input. The purpose of these meetings is to review the most recently adopted (1999) Sherman Hill action plan, identify current neighborhood concerns and determine needs and parties responsible for implementation. The intention following this series of meetings is to have the Sherman Hill action plan amended to reflect the neighborhood’s current needs. Approved amendments are reflected in the City’s Comprehensive Plan and in turn become an ongoing guide affecting future policy decisions for the area.
